Was the Hurricane sent by God?

Is it surprising the the hurricane was sent to America by the Lord around election time ?  America has continually snubbed it's nose at the Lord's Word.   Has America provoked the Lord to anger ? America does abort children every day.  In God's eyes, that is murder.  Maybe some people don't see it as a big deal but God does.  All blood is precious to Jesus.  In the proverbs of Solomon it says this : ¹⁶ There are six things the Lord hates,
    seven that are detestable to him:
¹⁷         haughty eyes,
        a lying tongue,
        hands that shed innocent blood,
¹⁸         a heart that devises wicked schemes,
        feet that are quick to rush into evil,
¹⁹         a false witness who pours out lies
        and a person who stirs up conflict in the community. Proverbs chapter 6:16-19

It is interesting to note that "hands that shed innocent blood" are mentioned here. Now, this could be abortion but not necessarily.  Also note here it mentions "lying" 2 times.  If you think about it, many Americans lie.  Just look at the divorce rate.  The husband and wife made an oath then broke it which could be seen as a lie.  Sadly, their vows most likely were before the Lord.  Has the Lord been stirred to anger ?  

Let us pray for God's mercy. 

Another note here too is that just before the Hurricane smashed into the West coast Obama had again said he endorsed gay marriage. Is this a coincidence ? You will have to decided.  Another note as well is that just before the D.C. earthquake the state of New York had passed legislation for Gay Marriage.  Again, is this a coincidence ?  Evil is evil in God's site.  If ancient Israel was punished for it's sins, why would America not be punished ?  Is America exempt from God's judgment ?  You be the judge.
